Therm Earns Second A-Rating from BeZero Carbon for Refrigerant Transition Project

LAKE FOREST, IL, [Dec. 12, 2024]: Therm Solutions, Inc. received an A-Rating from BeZero Carbon for its project ACR904, marking the second A-Rating the company has earned for its carbon credit projects. ACR904 accelerates the transition to climate-friendly refrigerants (R-744 and R-449A) in large-rack commercial refrigeration systems across supermarket locations in the southeastern United States.
BeZero’s A-Rating indicates a high likelihood that the project’s carbon credits deliver one tonne of CO₂e avoidance per credit. The rating recognizes the project’s strong additionality, citing the low market penetration of climate-friendly refrigerant technologies and significant financial and technical hurdles overcome to implement the systems.
Therm’s projects tackle one of the largest, yet often overlooked, climate challenges: refrigerant emissions. By helping grocery stores adopt climate-friendly refrigerants, Therm enables measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions while supporting businesses in overcoming financial and operational barriers.
